TheraSTRAWS™ 

Complete set of four graduated therapeutic drinking straws, which limit bolus size.  The outer diameter of the straws can be increased by inserting smaller straws into the green straw. Straws can be bent by placing in microwave. Set includes instructions.

SwallowMist is a misting spray device which can be filled with water and used to administer a trace amount of liquid into a patient's mouth.  The amount sprayed is a small mist of moisture to hydrate the oral mucosa. The tool can be used for swallowing practice in patients that are unable to tolerate sips or teaspoons of liquid.  SwallowMist can be used instead of ice chips for NPO patients. No batteries needed.

TonguePRESS is a resistance exercise tool for building the strength of the tongue.  It uses water pressure to provide resistance to the bulb. The patient places the bulb in his/her mouth and presses the bulb with his tongue against the hard palate. The indicator rises in direct relation to the strength of the tongue's pressure.  The resistance can be increased by tightening the air valve. Repetitive exercise with the device can improve tongue strength leading to increased swallow pressures and improved speech intelligibility. Can be used with adults and children. For individual use.

Set of resistance straw-like tubes for thin liquid swallowing practice. This set is part of the TheraSIP Swallowing Trainer but is now available separate from the kit. These micro-resistance tubes have microscopic interior diameters which require a substantial amount of effort to suck. The size of the thin liquid bolus sucked is only a  very small trace amount which allows for safe repetitive swallowing practice. To be used as part of formal swallowing rehabilitation. Not for functional use as a drinking straw. Comes in three sizes. These three resist tubes fit into the TheraSTRAWs  for an enlarge outer straw. This is for patients with poor lip seal. TheraSTRAWS are sold separately and in the TheraSIP Swallowing Trainer Kit.
